What do you love most about working in higher education and why?

I love working in higher education because it allows me to play a key role in helping students navigate the college enrollment process. It’s rewarding to support schools in reaching and engaging prospective students, knowing these efforts can open doors to life-changing opportunities. Being part of such a pivotal moment in a student’s journey makes the work both exciting and meaningful.

How did you choose your profession/why?

I chose my profession because I’ve always been passionate about connecting people, ideas, and stories in ways that inspire action. Marketing and public relations allow me to combine creativity with strategy, helping organizations reach their audiences effectively. Over time, I’ve found the most fulfillment in roles where my work makes a measurable impact, especially in education and mission-driven industries.

When you aren’t busy being a Sparkler, what is something that you like to do and why?

I love exploring New York City’s food scene—whether it’s trying a hidden neighborhood gem or the latest chef’s tasting menu. Food has always been a way for me to connect with different cultures, spark inspiration, and share memorable experiences with friends and family. It’s my favorite blend of adventure and creativity.

Which decade do you love the most and why?

I love the ’90s, particularly for its music, which blended innovation, soul, and storytelling in a way that continues to inspire me. Artists like A Tribe Called Quest and Zhané captured the era’s unique fusion of hip-hop, R&B, and jazz, creating a sound that remains timeless. That music still serves as a source of creativity and energy for me today.
