A graduate of Hofstra University with experience in university admissions, Jonathan supports our college and university partners by facilitating projects across channels and serving as a liaison between our partners and various internal departments. When he’s off the clock, you can likely find Jonathan watching or coaching baseball. This Yankee fan has even met and gotten baseballs signed by Alex Rodroguez on two separate occasions!
What do you love most about working in higher education?
I enjoy the excitement of higher education — from when a person first decides the college they want to go to their graduation. Being a first-generation graduate, I never had an idea of what college was like, and now, I always like to help paint a picture for those after me.
What is something most people don’t know about you?
I was a firefighter and I am a youth baseball coach.
When you aren’t busy being a Sparkler, what is something that you like to do?
I coach youth baseball in my hometown. Culturally, baseball was a huge sport in my town with everyone playing, so I love giving back and making an enjoyable experience for the youth today. It’s often their first real memory of doing something with their friends and a team.
