Ed Flaherty

CRM Lead

AKA “Factual Flaherty

Ed has a knack for breaking down complex issues into solvable problems and coming up with creative solutions — and that’s exactly what he gets to do as a Client Strategist & CRM Analyst at Spark451. Prior to joining our team, Ed served as the Director of Admissions Operations at his alma mater, Moravian College.

In his free time, Ed hikes, kayaks, and travels with his wife (34 states, eight countries, and counting!). He also enjoys woodworking and classic cars.

What do you enjoy most about your position at Spark451 and why?

As a Client Strategist & CRM Analyst, I have the opportunity to learn so much about each partner institution and the technology that drives their operations. I love working with clients to find ways to share the unique features that make a student's experience truly special.

What is one super power you'd want to possess and why?

The one superpower I'd want is the ability to freeze time. Who wouldn't want to have an unlimited amount of hours in any given day to learn a new language, pick up a new instrument, or just relax?

What do you love most about working in higher education and why?

I love working in higher education because it requires constant evolution. Our clients are constantly working to add programs and messaging that are cutting edge—and I get to be with them on the front lines of those efforts.

When you aren’t busy being a Sparkler, what is something that you like to do and why?

Outside of Spark life, I spend as much time as I can camping, hiking, and kayaking.
