Carrie Donahue

Operations Analyst I

AKA “Diligent Donahue

As part of the Operations team at Spark451, Carrie uses her experience managing design and production projects to help ensure every detail of a project is aligned prior to launch. From pricing and contracts through production and vendor management, Carrie is a key player in making sure projects are completed without a hitch.

A proud graduate of Binghamton University (back when the mascot was the Colonial!) and Parsons School of Design, Carrie combines a creative eye with a practical approach to problem-solving. Outside of work, she continues to indulge her love of graphic and interior design through personal projects, and — fun fact — she even freelanced for Spark451 during its start-up days!

What do you love most about working in higher education and why?

College is such an exciting and formative time in a person's life; it is exciting to contribute to the process!

How did you choose your profession/why?

I’m a resourceful person, and throughout my varied experiences, I’ve always enjoyed working behind the scenes, keeping things organized, and creative problem-solving.

Beach vacation or city vacation and why?

Beach! I love exploring cities and having new experiences, but for a relaxing vacation, nothing beats the beach. I go to the beach often, and always feel a sense of calm as soon as I arrive. The sounds of the waves, the feel of the breeze, and the chance to unplug provides a feeling of well-being.

When you aren’t busy being a Sparkler, what is something that you like to do and why?

I love being in the kitchen. I put on some music and get to work making something tasty. After long hours working in front of a screen, it's a great way to be creative, clear your head, and fuel your mind and body.
