She gained valuable experience in positions with the armed forces and in higher education, developing graphic and web designs, as well as front– and back-end web solutions.

How did you choose your profession and why?

I've always appreciated the idea of expression through design. I feel like I speak more clearly when creating spaces, whether on canvas, digitally, or within the bounds of four walls. Web design and development was a "next step" for me. I took the challenge of growing my skillset and ran with it. Being able to create a design and then write the code to implement for a functional and stylish website is a beautiful thing.

What is something most people don't know about you?

I have super-human strength. If it needs to be moved, I will move it.

When you aren’t busy being a Sparkler, what is something that you like to do and why?

Outside of work, I spend the majority of my time watching my kiddos grow and cuddling with the fur babies. I like to play with lumber and power tools, so DIY home projects are always in the back of my mind.
