What do you love most about working in higher education?

I love seeing the excitement in a potential student when discussing the opportunity they have to change their life’s path by earning their degree. Getting to know potential students at events is always an uplifting reminder of what the end result will be for them. And discussing admitted students’ goals and aspirations once they complete their degrees is the icing on the cake.

What’s one thing everyone needs to know about Spark451 and why?

We are different. We are not just another marketing agency. Every single person at Spark451 has every partner institution’s best interests in mind. We take our work seriously to produce amazing results for our partners. We also have fun doing it. Spark451 collaborates, becomes creative together, offers fresh ideas, and is continuously moving the needle forward. When you choose Spark451, you are choosing a group of smart individuals who work together to exceed expectations.

When you aren’t busy being a Sparkler, what is something you like to do and why?

I love vacationing with family and friends. I’ve traveled to many different areas internationally and domestically, and have a few favorites. We snagged a $200 airfare to Dubai, our honeymoon in Costa Rica was packed with adventure and relaxation, and we’ve had the opportunity to visit many other countries via cruising. Also, surprising to many people, Poland is a beautiful place to visit. Domestically, we love Colorado for skiing and snowboarding, Florida beaches, and Wisconsin summers with fishing, swimming, and bonfires.

What is your favorite quote and why?

“No matter what happens today, the sun will always rise tomorrow.”
My dad would tell me this whenever I needed some encouragement and motivation. It reminds me that no matter what happens today, everything will work out and you can move on toward better days.
