Elizabeth Messina

Interactive Designer

AKA “Multifaceted Messina

This Fordham University Ram uses her passion for design to build interactive solutions for our college and university partners. Elizabeth graduated from Fordham with a double major in computer science and new media and digital design.

Elizabeth also enjoys painting and photography, and when she’s not working, she spends her time running by the water, exploring new places, and trying (but typically failing) to learn French. She loves to travel the world, and will have a coffee in her hand no matter where she is.

How did you choose your profession?

When I took my first computer science class in high school, I picked up a few books on web design and development, since I thought it would be a great way to combine my interest with visual arts. I fell in love with web and UX design, and decided to pursue a career in that field.

How has your own college education directly translated to success at Spark451?

My education at Fordham University made me enjoy working with others and appreciate learning new things every day. If I didn’t love my college experience as much as I did, I wouldn’t be as eager to promote higher education to prospective students. I want to support our clients and give students an opportunity to have an incredible college education.

Beach vacation or city vacation?

Both. My ideal vacation spot is a small city or town with a beach right nearby. Hello Greece, Croatia, France—the list goes on.

What is one superpower you’d want to possess and why?

Teleportation. I could use it to travel across the world in seconds, or to avoid traffic during rush hour. It would certainly make my long-distance relationship easier!
