AKA “Merry Mackay“
Samantha’s positive mindset, multi-tasking skills, and attention to detail help her to manage projects and efficiently coordinate the needs of Spark451’s higher ed partners and internal teams. A former Bluebird, she holds a B.S. in business, management, and economics with a concentration in business management from SUNY Empire State College. Outside the office, you can find Samantha practicing yoga on her back deck or soaking up the sun by the ocean.
What do you love most about working in higher education?
I believe in the importance of becoming educated, so it fuels me to know that I’m playing a supporting role in helping the next generation reach that goal.
What’s one thing everyone needs to know about Spark451?
I appreciate the company’s collaborative spirit. We operate as a unit.
Where in the world do you want to visit the most?
I would love to visit Hawaii. It has been a dream of mine to go on a yoga retreat there and learn how to surf in those waters. Plus, palm trees are my favorite.
What is your life’s theme song?
“I Hope You Dance” by Lee Ann Womack. Not only does this song resonate deeply within my soul because I was a competitive dancer for 10 years; the meaning behind the lyrics encourages me and reminds me to find light in every opportunity that crosses my path. Life is a dance!
